Hereshoff designed Bristol 28

I recently purchased a gently used Bristol 28 that was designed by H Hereshoff and .manufactured by Bristol Yachts from 1972-1975.  Unfortunately, only approximately 30 Boats were built and there is hardly any information about them online.
 
I was wondering if there are any digitized layout plans available and knowledge of why so few of these fin/skeg boats were manufactured.

I think it was Bristol's foray into the IOR rating rule - It was replaced by the larger heavier (and I assume faster/more competitive) Bristol 29.9. Similar to how the "classic" Bristol 29 was replaced by the slightly modernized Bristol 30.

No Idea where the plans would be but wouldn't be surprised if Herreshoff Designs had them - Give them a call and you can ask the designer himself or Adam Langerman.
