Frozen Snot? I like to call them "Classic Plastic".... (The sound of L. Frances turning over in his grave....  ;) )

She still looks new Jon - What is she now 23-25 YO? About half way to Minx when she was still sailing....

Minx, formerly Target, nee Minx was left in Bristol in August of 1981, and we took delivery of Down East in December of 1981.  Her first season was 1982.  Time really flies, doesn't it?  We've now had her longer than we had Target, and she is as old now as Target was when Dad bought her in 1964!

I got some good sail time in last week.  Remind me to tell you about how I discovered the Matthews was sinking in the boathouse while I was stirring a can of Interlux 90 for the 12!

Wish I could've made the Rendezvous, but work called...

OK I'm reminding you - What do you mean the Matthews was sinking? she's OK right?

When you comming by my way? The boat has been sailing very well. Been stocking up for the restoration this winter - so she's comming out early to do some work - Decks, Interior, galley, etc....prob less then a month.

Found another one fully restored not 1/4 mile from my moring. With only 20 built - what are the chances?

Jon:  I had a real nice talk with your Dad yesterday.  What a nice guy, and very knowledgeable as well.  He gave me quite a bit of "color" regarding MINX.  I' m in the process of setting up an oral history initiative for the Registry, and he agreed to let me record a future conversation for this project.
