Adam,
Any chance of getting a framable copy of this print?
Thanks,
Steve

Yes, the Herreshoff America, Eagle, Scout and Pilot all use the same hulls!  The non-sailing hulls do not have centerboards of course.

HMM uses a Pilot as its launch.

We get more calls regarding the America than any other of our older (post HMCo) designs.

A thumbnail from our archive on the Pilot:

Steve – Welcome aboard what is your home port for your Herreshoff Harbor Pilot?  Can you send me some photos so I can post them up on the Herreshoff Registry forum under Herreshoff 18 ……?   The answer to your question is there are two bronze / bass plates one is at the Helm and the other is at the around back rest area in the stern, below the Cat seating area ….  What is your Hull #  ?

Subject: herreshoff 18'

Joe,
I have a 1984 Squadron Yacht Harbor Pilot that is slowly being fixed up. I have cleaned and climbed all around the boat and have never found a brass plate. Where is it located? Was it an option on some models? The boat has traveled from Cape Cod to Texas to Alabama over the years maybe it was removed.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Steve
