Do the Math on OLIVE OYL > FIRM Price of $6000.00 - $2000.00 (Trailer) = $ 4000.00 for a Herreshoff Harbor Pilot with a Diesel engine that is in Excellent Running Condition !!!! WOW........  Yes , she needs a little TLC on the Wood Work and I felt one little soft spot on the deck floor , that will need attn. in the furture , but that was it , Its basically a " Turn Key Boat " ........

to me

I just came across an old Herreshoff Forum and I think you are, or was, the owner of that beautiful 18' Pilot.  I have one that I think is a Fisherman or a Pilot that someone modified.  It is called Cup Cake.  I have attached a photo and I would be happy to send you more and include my story if you would like.

CUP CAKE

to me
Hi Joe,

Yes, a center console.  I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a Pilot as there is evidence of fiberglass repair on the port side.  I have attached a few photos and will send a few more in a separate email.

I bought the boat in Erie, PA about 10 years ago and dragged it to Boston.  I used for a couple of seasons and put it in storage for quite a while.  In the past couple of years I replaced the engine beds, replaced the 40hp Gray with a newer 25hp Gray.  I sent the 25hp to Van Ness Engineering to be rebuilt.  New canvass and rebuilt the rudder recently.  The cushions are original and in great shape.  Next, I'd like to put a little diesel in it.  I hate to think how much $$ I have into Cup Cake that I know I will never get back.

Was yours redone in Annapolis?  Do you still have it?  Happy Easter.

Jerry

Herreshoff Harbor Pilot 18 | $12,500

This is a very rare boat, built in the Nowak and Williams's yard in Bristol, Rhode Island in the early 1970's. It is a perfect gentleman's launch/picnic boat for cocktail cruises on your favorite lake or river. The huge cockpit easily seats 6 people.

It has an " OUTBOARD MOTOR '' for Power ..................  :o
