You know, years ago I used to do a lot of night fishing on the outer Cape beaches - every year there would be a few guy's that would end up in the rising surf - so i can see it happening.... but I just can't understand how someone goes down "bow First" as in the first pic.....The only thing I can think is the guy parked it there and just didn't take into account a large tide swing...or there was alcohol involved!
