Herreshoff Regatta
« on: August 04, 2009, 10:47:29 PM »
Herreshoff Rendezvous – Anyone going? As usual I’ll be there watching from my position of double secret agent for the registry in case any “new” boats show…. ;)

They have a cool new T-shirt this year for the S-Class anniversary…Do we know how close “they” are to publishing the new addition of the S-Class book? I'll have to ask Tom....

I also noticed that ROGUE (The modified N29) that we discussed so much about is racing…I'll take some pics. Not a lot of 12’s registered – surprisingly….Would have thought more just from the HMM sailing program. I said that last year.... Lots of S’s though - Nice to see.

I wish I could make it, but SWMBO prefers the Newport Boat Show the following month.  She is always a good sport about my habits, including spending hours helping to transcribe BYC yearbooks. Soooo ....

I haven't heard back from the folks working on the new S-Class book.  Any news would be welcome.

Needless to say, your role as double secret agent must be taken very seriously, along with the expectation that you will fill up at least 2 memory cards!

I am planning to attend.  Called the museum to see if they are going to have a spectator boat this year in case I can't get on a crew.

The wife says I can have a mistress as long as her ribs are made from white oak.

Are they doing the spectator boat? it wasn't clear from what I read. I'll be the guy in the long overcoat, fedora, and Groucho mustache....with an eight year old in tow....

Beautiful shot.  Mendlowitz ain't got nuthin' on you.

Looks like great weather.  Here near Philadelphia we had stormy weather most of the day.  I wonder what today will bring.

Agreed - it was a nice day...I'll post the pics tomorrow. I can tell you I'm not Rosie, Adam L., or Mendlowitz  ;D.

Still, I thought it was bigger then last year. Great seeing the N29, NY30, and all the 6 meters sail off the moorings. Nice job. My only complaint is this years shirt was sold out in my size  :-\....
