I've seem this Herreshoff 12 1/2 its on a mooring ball off of Islesboro, ME, i was just there in Sept. this is one of the 5 islands off of Bar Harbor / Mount Desert . One of my family members has a beach front house on this Island .

Questions:

1.  What are the blocks for mounted to the inside of the transom?  I assume it being a Maine boat, she is Marconi-rigged?  Then sh should have only a two-piece main sheet?

2.  What is the swivel-cam cleat for in the middle of the cockpit floor?

3.  What is the hardware just inside the coaming forward of the mast?
