This one from the Boston Globe is better - as it names the Registry!! Steve you made the big time :-)

Seems only two boats were destroyed - maybe 12 1/2's?

I'll have to add a link to the "Press" section.  I'll also have to do something about the "billing".    The Registry (currently) deals with sailing vessels only, of which 1100 were built.  The article is a little mis-leading, which is my fault.  I am considering adding in the Power boats in the next version.

I haven't spoken with Weatherly, though I will do so ASAP.  She does own two 12's ... I hope these aren't the ones that were destroyed.

Seems like the other 12's she has in the yard survived - but a lot of the rigs did not. I assume a lot of that fleets 12's are at that yard....

I think nearly the entire Quissett / Woods Hole 12 fleet lives there.

Update from our friends at Ballentine:

Quote
Miraculously the bottom floor of the storage building at Quissett Harbor Boatyard was spared from the fire and the majority of the Doughdish and H12 fleet is unscathed!

I was there over the weekend for a look and didn't try to go in because of the yellow tape. Other gawkers and I saw guys at work shoving all the water out of the building and didn't bother them.  Everyone looked so sad, understandably.
