This may turn out to be a fishing expedition.  Is it an LFH boat?  I can't think of an NGH boat that has that schooner bow.

The bridge is RT 700 in South Carolina.

But which one?

OK - the original 1935 Mobjack.  Still in very original condition.  I thought it was pretty cool......

Steve: When is the LFH section of the registry coming online? This could be the first entry?

Adam L. - An LFH section intrigues me, but ... I still have a full-time job and a LONG list in the pipeline: Major technology upgrades and rewrites, new schemas for the database, adding the HMCo power boats, the QA and CCSB 12s, a very shortly upcoming new version that completely re-platforms the Forum (you will get a chance to test it out first), and on and on.

Nonetheless, a great suggestion.  We can short-circuit the long lead time if we get a, er, um, volunteer to start doing the data gathering.  ;)

The double ended power boat was the varsity crew coach's launch at Harvard for many years, is an LFH design and was built at Luders Marine Construction (afaik).

I think documenting LHF boats via a traditional registry would be difficult. Unlike HMCo. he didn't "build" boats per se but contracted with many builders - as well as selling his designs to many builders who all built versions. Additionally many of his designs came from his Rudder Magazine years and were meant as do it yourself projects (the H-28 for example) - so who built what and who's was the "first" would be difficult at best.

If the idea is to capture all <200 of his designs and show some examples - or allow a place that folks can say "here's my version" (sort of like what Joe has been doing with the HA-18/Pilot) then maybe...

I certainly like the idea of the power boats though... As well as those built pre HMCo.

Adam:  I pretty much agree on all counts.  I think if we were to add an LFH section, it would be to catalog the desgins and document 'em as we find 'em.  It is clearly a different concept from what we are doing now.

My first thoughts are the originals should be the priority.  Like the HMCo registry.

If you can start compiling a list, that would be a great start.  Spreadsheet format would do just fine.  I could then put together a db schema, and the games begin.
