I just came across this board. I figured that I would join this discussion since I own an L. Francis Herreshoff designed H-28 fiberglass version built by David Parkins.

Welcome Lloyd. The Parkins H-28 is a nice boat. Most of the ones I've seen are sloops and not ketch's - what is yours? Growing up my favorite boat in the YC fleet was a home built H-28. It was simply well made, well maintained, and followed the original LFH design . I remember pining over that boat more then any other....where are you out of?

H 28 is a beautiful design, I first saw one in British Columbia about 20 years ago and it is was what rekindled my love of wooden boats.
