Oh jeez.
I met Olin at the first two Classic Yacht Symposia in Bristol. What a gentleman. During the second one, we were in the process of restoring a Buzzards Bay 15 and were trying to decide between a painted or bright transom. I asked Olin his opinion, and he replied, "Well, don't you think that a bright transom looks like the bloody stump of a severed appendage?" ELF got a pointed transom.
This ia a great loss to the maritime community, to say the least.
