I would so do this, but with all the time I'm spending in the garage so that I can complete my 12 1/2 by the 100 year anniversary next year, there is no way the wife is going to let me take on another project like that. Damn shame too because with the hull all ready to go, it wouldn't take very long to do the decks and cabin, etc.
And that type of work is just plain carpentry versus what you'd have to do to build a wooden hull.
It's probably about $5,000 worth of materials, plus sails, so for less than $20,000, you'd have a seriously nice boat.
