Adam,
It took me a little while to figure out what the problem was after registering (had to still turn around and log in again...kind of like the 3 turns with stick in hand after blindfolding before making a go at the pinata), as when I found this discussion board I was overjoyed;
When I found this thread, even more so...something along the lines of falling out of my chair!
I'm not sure how often You make it to this boneyard, but I'd gladly pay You for the time and travel if I could get some pictures, although right now I'm guessing:
1-Christmas and New Years' are priorities, and
2-After that it's likely the target subject will be snow covered.
I've been trying to acquire one of these vessels, in this type condition for about 10 years as I'm not a 6 figure boat buyer;
I am however 54 years old and grew up restoring vessels, under the careful eye of a grandfather who had me caulking wood hulls at the ripe old age of 6; fiberglass restoration (although he considered it a sinful invention) is 1 of my specialties and I'd spare no expense to get my hands on this hull and rig if there's any chance they can be saved?
The good news is that I'm in South Florida, and the bad news is that I'm, well, way down here. Getting folks who work at that yard, IF the vessel's still available, to take pictures and then email them is probably a tall order (yes, I've been to the Mass. Coastline formerly, though even then having been from N.C., the nanosecond I opened my mouth I was immediately held in disdain, as apparently, no one fm. S. of the mason-dixon can possibly know anything about sailing, and vessel rehabilitation/maint., etc.?
If anyone else is proximate to this boneyard and would consider this favor, I'll gladly return it for anything I see down here in our yards (of which we have many, most of which I also regularly frequent)?
You can email for my phone number,
respectfully and sincerely,
-Michael
