I was doing research on C.F. Herreshoff and found out about his history in the boat world, but in Coronado where he lived, he also was the builder of my family home. Since the home was built in 1926, I have to go through the historical society to do work to it. I remember my mom saying when she bought the home in 1965, all the beds and furniture was built into the floor so nothing could be moved - it was the weirdest thing, but now I understand why, since he was a boat builder. Just thought the boating world would get a kick out of that.
