Not a sailing craft, but Interesting...HH might like this. The New Bedford Whaling Museum just posted a picture of Herreshoff's AIDA tied up in New Bedford:

Steam yacht AIDA, Homes Bros., written verso, possibly "negative by DeWolf 1889"

Not by Herreshoff, but probably built by C. B. Harrington in Bath, Maine, LOA 73ft.

The Herreshoff Aida, late Permelia (#92p) was 95ft LOA and had a straight stem.

I couldn't find the photo on the NBWM website but am grateful they are putting the Fortier collection online.

You are probably correct  (see first pic) although my first inclination on the plum bow is due to the angle in the picture. The deck layout, Cabin structure, stack placement, masts, all match The line drawing of AIDA in Outing (april 1894) - at least to my eye - but I'm certainly no expert....

One of the volunteer historians at the NBWM is looking into the photo to see what additional info they have - which AIDA she is.....
