Nice hull.... I wonder if we have to start keeping track of these on the registry - what hull numbering do they use today  ;)

This was designed by Halsey and Adam Langerman.  I'm not sure, but I don't think any have actually been built yet.

The hulls and decks are being built in Shanghai and will be shipped to Maine for finishing.

Thanks Adam - very interesting. I have a team in Shanghai and I know the "cost" of "starting up" in China can be quite daunting. Lots of shall we say politics. I always thought it could be a risky proposition to manufacture this way - Reminds me of the Concordia and others - where ship building overseas and shipping home was cheaper then building at home - to a point. Dollar moves and political changes quickly can make it unprofitable. I know Crosby is now selling a very high end traditional cold molded wood power cruiser made in Turkey I believe - and years ago in my fishing days I had a Roth Built novi hull - they were built in Poland of all places...Curious - is this a "one off" custom hull or do you plan a small run?

Yes, dealing with China takes some getting used to.  We are lucky to have a world renowned project manager, Ian Conner, at the yard full-time representing us and our clients, East Gate Yachts.  Ian has a long history in that area as well as building boats all over the world.  The 43 will be a production boat with the option for customization.
