Title: H-15 Kim
Post by: HerreshoffHistory on September 18, 2009, 03:59:32 PM
A Norman Fortier photo at the New Bedford Whaling Museum shows an H-15 Kim.

See http://tinyurl.com/h15kim

Any idea what her hull number might be?

I ran it through some software - not much I can do with a JPG - but it looks like a 43 or the 4 an H which would be H3 as a sail # if that helps.......

Any chance it could be Vim? Vim was the first 15. A 15 named Vim was wrecked in a storm about 1948, but of course there's no way of knowing if it's the same boat.

Hm, we don't know.

Fortier took the above mentioned photo of Kim in 1960, so it can't be "your" wrecked Vim.
