Title: Prime Time Ink #2
Post by: Steve on October 22, 2009, 11:58:40 AM
The Registry is highlighted in a short piece in the latest issue of Wooden Boat, Nov/Dec 2009.  Check out the column entitled "Readers looking for boats", starting on page 22.

Yeah Steve I just received that number 211 and read the item on pages 22 and 24 !
I think this highlight is both fair and justified award for your so nice works in the Register as well as a good advertisement for all people interested in HMCo production.
Bravo Steve, well done!
As you know I am interested in the story of Mimosa III #610. As I was looking the built boats list I wondered what exactly could mean J&M in "MIMOSA III 31ft J&M". Thank you for your help.

Hi Pat.  "J&M" is the entry in the builder's log.  I believe it is for "Jib and Main",  or a sloop rig.

I guess you know that Mimosa III so for sale?

Yes that is what I think myself, thank you for the confirmation of J&M meaning.
Unfortunately that is in total contradiction with original sail plan which shows a gaff rigged cutter with two headsails and a bowsprit, without topsail ..... On the other hand I only found a LOA and a LWL but no where a Lenght On Deck ...
So was she a sloop or a cutter OMG
I am a desperate house retired man you know :)

Yes I know she is for sale. The owner met Hasley Herreshoff at Saint-Tropez in last october I dont know what they discussed about.

PS: Sorry for making this thread drifting.
