Anyone know who came in second in the S class in the 1939 New Bedford YC "Race Week"?  :)

Is this a trick question?  Have you already checked the NB Yacht Club yearbooks?

Well it was a sort of a trick question but not really - to quote Howland (III) in "The New Bedford Yacht Club; a History":

"The S-boat class continuied to provide the best racing of all (1939), with the old Fox Russ Pierce in Skip going head to head with Demi Llyod in Arrow....But when the season was over it was Ruiss Pierce who had the most points..."

Now I cant be 100% sure but my guess is that's Arrow's (#833) trophy....Maybe someone on here can verify...

BTW, in 1939 the hot 12 1/2 in Padanaram was Peter Huidekoper's Restless - # 1206.

You will note both of these boats are Missing....
