It is an article that was extracted from Orison Swett Marden's 1901 book "How They Succeeded."

It was originally published in longer form with quite a few photos as two articles by Walter Wellesley in "Success" magazine of August 12, 1899 and August 19, 1899.

Pretty good reading if you can get used to the flowery language and one of the earliest detailed descriptions of the Herreshoffs and the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company.

I own both this book as well as Mardens original. Typical victorian writing....and a bit overdone IMO.
