MIT Tech Dinghy, 40 made at Herreshoff yard #1319-1358 made to George Owens design January 1936.  More made.  Updated in 1990's constructed in glass.  http://sailing.mit.edu/GeneralInfo/boats.php

There's a small fleet of the 1950s fg Tech dinghies up here in Maine used by a YMCA for their summer program for kids.  A couple more showed up in our harbor last year, one at the neighbors dock and then another on a mooring in sight of my house.  It turtled on its mooring in the aftermath of Irene and I rowed out to right and bail it, bringing back memories of recovering from capsizes on the Charles forty years ago.  The water here is a LOT cleaner than the Charles was back then (thank goodness)!!

The Damariscotta YMCA keeps their small fleet in Round Pond harbor. I'm in Boothbay Harbor. One of the local Tech dinghies showed up at the Portland West Marine on display for some wax/gelcoat renewal demonstration and then sold on CL to someone.

I looked a white hull Herreshoff Harbor Pilot in City Island , NY , the owner was moving to Boothbay ,Me ......  He stated if his pilot didn't sell then he was taking it to Boothbay ,Me.

This Polit has a Tow Poll in the middle of the cat seats ......
