This is a video of my LF Herreshoff launch, design #92 Piquant, which I built from 1977-79. The video was taken on a vhs camera in 1988. She was sold that year and spent time at the Richmond, CA, marina and cruising San Francisco Bay and the Sacramento Delta. The owner related to me that they were heading to Richmond hugging the north shore of  San Pablo Bay with small craft warning flags flying.
When opposite the marina, they turned downwind and broached three times but did not take any water aboard.  It was a pretty wild ride at the helm for he and his wife.

Nice video. I'm always amazed at how narrow those launchs are.
