Interesting.  I am somewhat suspicious (suppose its the old professor in me).

Stars & Stripes '83?  Designer of Intrepid--Owen Stephens?  Two typo's from an America's Cup enthusiast who owned multiple 12 meters...hmmm.

However, in Ian Dear's Enterprise to Endeavor The J-Class Yachts there is a picture of Quadrifoglio on p. 156, ex-Shamrock V from 1974, and another photo the following page from 1980.  The 1974 photo shows a set of bulwarks installed--this could be from the subsequent restoration completed in '80.

I think someone is supposing there might be a Herreshoff nut out there that six grand is less then they spend on cigars and such.  Maybe I should put my old 12 1/2 half- rotten floor timbers on ebay, ha.
