I wanted to share a picture of my new girl. She was built by Dave Corcoran in 2005 and she is as sweet as can be. (http://www.smugmug.com/photos/i-RRTWfXM/0/X3/i-RRTWfXM-X2.jpg)

Yep, can't get much sweeter.

Congratulations Orphan! I saw last week she was no longer available and wondered who the lucky guy was.
Welcome, you have quite the lovely mistress.
-
Thank you so much. I'm honored to have adopted her. I will be keeping her name as is. Spent the day with her today and she seemed very happy to be on the water again where she belongs. I will take very good care of her. Well, actually Alec Brainerd will be caring for her and I know she will be in good hands.

Doesn't get much better than Alec. Congrats!

When I saw that boat offered up for sale I just drooled, because I know the type of work Dave did, and that is a boat I would love to own someday if I could ever think to move past my 12 1/2. But since I have so much of myself in the 12, I doubt i could ever let her go. So congrats on your new baby, I hope you have hours upon hours of great memories sailing her.
BTW, where will she call home port?

Orphan will reside in Harborside Maine in the summer and Rockport the rest of the year.
-
That's funny, my wife and I were just over to Maine a few weeks ago, and we took a schooner ride on the Heron out of Rockport. We were admiring all of the nice wooden boats on the way out of the harbor. Yours will just add to the scenery.
-
Orphan, you have a very nice boat? Sweet.

Orphan,
She's beyond Sweet, She's Gorgeous.
Take awesome care of this vessel and treat her like the thing of beauty that she is...few can rival that picture.

I sure will. I'm counting down the days until she is back in the water. It's going to be a long winter. :)
