Title: 18' Yacht Club Launch
Post by: Ms Tiffeyed on December 10, 2015, 10:30:55 PM
Hello people!
I, almost, said "hello gentlemen" for as I have perused the forum I have yet to see another woman. Regardless, I want to say hello and introduce myself. My short-name is  Tiff, which is for Tiffin. I am the PROUD  American citizen but origins are from France. Most think my full name is Tiffany, but no. Sorry, to blather as it is of so little consequences! I dance for ballet in Boston and most time live on my sailboat. What brings me here is that I, this Summer, procure a 5.5m (18' or so) launch of Herreshoff design and built by Squadron Yachts who I think is gone from business, no? I buy from a private school that had boat donated from a gentleman that was a boat builder and carpenter who leave in Will & Testament. He did complete do-over with all fiberglass like new and replace of engine with Beta at 35 powerhorse diesel  (26.11 Kw @ 2800). Balmar 120amp alternator for many electronics he add on SS radar arch with many navionics. Boat was used in program to teach students. Full teak perimeter bench so pretty and room for students. I want to use as for fishing, scuba, island camping plus exploring on daytrip or to port for overnights at hotel, etcetera. Ok, I talk too much! Bye-bye til later, I have software conlict to resolve and I should send pictures..  you see me in taking pix bcause topside hull like red mirror, yes!! Haha!

Hi Tiff,

I also have an 18' Herreshoff Pilot.  It's for sale on Yachtworld with pictures.  These are great small boats and I am always anxious to see others.  Please forward me photos of yours when you can.

Regards,
