Thank you for the advice. I have not seen or herd of any recent boat builders in Ludington threw my years of going up there it has seemed that the industry has for the most part left the area. As far as the Ludington boat company being a part of an aircraft company that would seem to be a long shot seeing that they were building these boats in the family garage. I will however contact the local historian. Thank you again for the help.

I have been trying to find a vessel constructed by my Grandfather who was one of the Gustafson brothers who owned the Ludington Boat Company out of Ludington, Mi. My Grandfather and his brothers built fine wooden sailing vessels thew the 40's, 50's, and early 60's. I know they built a few H28's in their day and possibly other Herreshoff designs. They were sold around the Great Lakes region and may have ventured elsewhere.  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
