I need to replace the centerboard and rudder and bronze skeg (lower rudder support/pivot.  I have a template of the centerboard, but not sure what grade material to make it from, or what thickness.  and advice if it is covered by FG, or what.  Anybody able to advise me on this?  Also need a template of the Rudder and suggestions on what to fabricate it from.  By chance someone got any of these available for sale?

I have decided to sell a project boat I recently aquired.  It is a 1980 built by Aquarius.  the boat will need a new rudder, centerboard (i have the templates),   The hull is in very good condition, but the top side gel needs work.
Rub rail needs replacing as does the remaining wood on the exterior.  Inside cabin is in very good condition, with both bunks, galley, and placefor a head.  It has the interior overhead liner.  It does need all the wood hatch covers replaced.  Also has interior cushions.  Spars are there.  It has a sail, but believed to be from something else.

There is no trailer.

I have an opportunity to aquire a H18 Catboat.  it is a 1980 built by Aquarius, and the plate on  the centerboard trunk cover says Herreshoff.    I've been considering turning thesailboat plan into a launch plan.  I have an excellent builder interested in doing the work.  seeing that it was a sailboat, it was set up for an outboard.  is it practical to convert to an  inboard, and does anybody know of any used inboard diesels available?  I am well aware of new diesel cost, so it seems that used is  the best route if planning to go inboard.  New to the forum and site.  seems like alot of good knowledge here!
