Bill - that is very interesting - I would never had thought S... Steve, wonder if you can show the Green Parrot photo to the IYRS folks? I didn't realize there was that many non-Herreshoffs built. I know the ones built up around Boston, but they all look like the Herreshoff ones as far as I know.

Adam:  Will do.  You know, there were maybe a dozen S boats built by Lawley to Herreshoff plans.

I always thought Alden designed a bunch of those Boston boats? There is one for sale in RI if I remember correctly - Cranston maybe?

Nope, Newport.... Here she is:

http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listing/boatFullDetails.jsp?boat_id=1766554&ybw=&units=Feet&access=Public&listing_id=1877&url=

Q: She is listed as hull #966 - Which is obviously a Lawley # - but like the 12's in the 2000 range, was there some sort of Licencing agreement?

I think there may be some overlap between HMCo and Lawley hull numbers.  I don't know what type of licensing agreement they had, but there must have been something.
