This is a very interesting read - a Masters thesis on the famous 19/20th century Long Island NY designer Gilbert Smith. There are some interesting comparisons of - as well as alluding to some correspondence between - NGH and Smith (Smith built several racers of Herreshoff Design - see pg's starting 49).

Thanks for this. It looks like it will be interesting.
You know anything about the eBook Readers that can import PDF's? I may need one for stuff like this on planes and such.

Not really. They seem to be all the rage these days. Personally I hate reading from a computer - long docs I just end up printing it out and reading the paper....
