Lets see...Adam L. said it took somethiing like 50 folks on deck to sail those big Herreshoff Schooners in thge Med....this ones what a third smaller?.... so all we need is 30 of our closest friends and we could sail her on Lake Chasmplain :-)

That's interesting. She's been rotting away in Japan for quite a few years and it is good to see her on the market. I wonder if that price is totally unrealistic, given the restoration which is apparently due.

Some details in the offer are quite wrong, including of course that she is composite rather than steel built and that she is from 1910 rather than 1915.

In fact she is special in that she is the only existing Herreshoff-built vessel which will be able to celebrate her 100th birthday next year.

Now that Spartan has come back to life, this is the vessel which most deserves a similar restoration treatment. Let's hope, she'll find a generous new owner.

I'm mixed up about this. Is this Vagrant I or Vagrant II?  Was it Vagrant I that became Queen Mab? I think they're both still around.

Sorry, I should have searched the database first - the answer is there. This is talking about Vagrant I, known for a long time as Queen Mab. I remember Halsey saying she was in Japan.
