There are so many cases of buyers who don't understand the financial commitment required to restore and maintain a boat like this. DORIS is the first example that comes to mind. Hopefully, this one can be rescued.

Bidding is up to $5,000 with 5 days to go. I believe the previous auction price was less?

As I recall, the previous price was $9000, which probably explains the reserve of $9,999.

Oops ... I stand corrected. You are right ... she sold for $3,630 (per a prior thread). I got my auctions confused ... I think it was the previous one that she went for $9K. Sorry for the confusion.
Jeez ... you would think that over-the-road trailer is worth the $3600.
Let's see what happens with this one.

Steve: Do you have an e-mail into the current owner to keep us updated?

Adam: I do indeed. He indicated that if the boat didn't sell, he would be contacting me about listing her for sale on this site. Stay tuned.

No, unfortunately. But I understand that the boat actually did sell from another source. I am working on tracking it down ... stay tuned.
Similar question ... RUGOSA is no longer on CL. Do we know anything more about her?

For what it's worth...
Today, May 5, is Mameena birthday.
She was ordered on May 5, 1927, 83 years ago...
