Herreshoff Harbor Pilot
« on: March 05, 2015, 02:36:52 AM »
Harbor Pilot for sale. It was completely restored last year including:

- Stars and stripes blue Dupont Marine linear polyurethane with integrated 2k clearcoat
- Whisper grey gelcoat deck
- Pettit Vivid white bottom paint
- Composite replacement hatches
- Composite swim platforms
- Composite engine box/insulated cooler with clear acrylic lids
- New wiring, Blue Seas panel, cables, etc
- 2014 Yamaha 9.9 high thrust outboard in well with warranty until 2017. The lower unit of the engine is protected by the keel in case of grounding.
- Seastar hydraulic steering
- Uflex side mount binnacle
- Barbour stainless insert rubrail
- Southco 316 cast stainless cleats, chocks, handrails, hinges, cockpit drains, etc.
- Navy Sunbrella and Eisenglass windows and cabin door

This boat has been a lot of fun to both restore as well as use. We use it weekly as our family beach shuttle to avoid the traffic mess on the Clearwater Beach roads. It draws a crowd when pulling up to the dock for dinner. The restoration was professionally done by a facility in Safety Harbor, FL that specializes in restorations of 60s and 70s model boats. Includes a galvanized single axle trailer in very good condition. Located in Clearwater Beach, FL.

Hi,

I'm thinking of repowering my Harbor Pilot with an outboard as you did.  I was wondering why you chose a 9.9hp and what speed did you make with the 9.9?  Did you consider putting the engine on a bracket on the transom?  Looking forward to hearing from you.  Thanks,  Jerry Van, Boston, Mass.     617-755-3076
