OK.... Did we hit pay dirt....
Spoke with Tom (Duce). Super nice guy - he is the owner of WAWIS (MUSKETEER) as well as the boatyard she's in (Cape Marine in Bourne - Cape Side). He bought her off David Peterson 3 or 4 years ago and has been meticulously maintained and restored. The resto sounds like a SUPER job by both Tom and David - she is one of only 6 S's with this particular watertight cockpit compartment. In fact so unusual that they had to get copies of the original plans for this particular model from Gordo (brings up memories of our CCSB legal conversations) to do the resto. Plate remains with I believe the Hunt family, but David and Tom fabricated a copy for the hull. So we can certainly place this one as FOUND. I'm going to head down and take a look at her maybe this week and intro myself to Tom. She sounds like a real buy for someone - and she’s being splashed and sailed again this year regardless of whether he sells her or not - cudo's to Tom!
Now for the rest....
At the same time they did this restoration, they did Hull #1119 (SEA DOG) - Tom owned both. She is now owned by the Rodney family out in MV (Chappaquiddick) (Darra and Keith) - that resto was hugely expensive because of her condition; it sounds like a barn fell on her while in storage. Also done by David.... She is now named RESOLUTE. We can list her as FOUND.
Around the same time David also restored one of the R-Class Herreshoffs - but Tom didn't have much other info. Puffin is the only one listed in the Registry as Found, and we all know about Scapa (May Be). Sounds like someone needs to call David

.
Hopefully Tom joins us here - he's a real nice guy and an absolute purist - even Jon would approve!
