Total Labor - Cardinal Yacht Sales:Herreshoff Pilot House         hrs   33:30 > Jersey Cape Custom Yacht ( actually that is not a lot of Hours for the work they did to my Pilot ! )....

Plus the 50 hours that my Restoration team spend on the Hull , before it went to Jersey Cape Custom Yacht Plant ......  Oh . Well live & learn .......  Like i have stated before to Adam .....Time & Material = " Therapy " ....... Cardinal Joe  :)

Saw your post about a Harbor Pilot in NYC.  I know you posted awhile ago but I wanted to try.  Have been looking for one for 8 years.  i am in the RI area and i am willing to travel the eastern seaboard.
Please let me know if you have a line still on this boat or any others if you would.

Thanks,

This Herreshoff Harbor Pilot has a BMW Diesel 46 hp ....  Most Pilot have Replaced there original engine with a YANMAR 30 HP Diesel motor....

Wow, standard engine HP was 15 hp, Optional is 25 hp to 30 hp!  But, 46 HP is to the Moon!   What is your average cruising speed?

Joe, about 6.5 knots, the rudder is below the water line beneath the swim platform. The boat is an absolute tank, if you get stuck in sand it just plows off. Jack

It is an 18 gallon tank. The engine is the BMW D 50-2, 46hp has a 15"prop and could tow a destroyer. I'll be on the boat Wednesday and get better pictures
.

Best,

Jack

Most Pilot have Replaced there original engine with a YANMAR 30 HP Diesel motor....
But there are other motor options ; the Universal B- Diesel Series Continuous Quality Power ( M- 25XPB Diesel Engine)= 25 hp for $9955.00 installed by me at Cardinal Yacht Sales Marina ......

Universal B- Series  - is the maker of the world famous " Atomic-4 " and pioneers in premium marine diesel propulsion ...

if your looking to replace that aging Atomic 4 , the Universal B- Series is still the boaters choice for atomic-4 replacements .... The M-35B ( $ 11,106.00), M3-20B ($10,782.00 ) and M-25XPB ( $ 11,402.00 )

Also , another engine that will fix the Herreshoff Harbor Pilot is a NANNI Diesel - 21.3 kw ( 29 hp ) model N3.30  - Price is $9000.00 not installed ......

2 ) -Actually we don't have any. It was sunk in the keys in Wilma and we bought it and had it sitting in the carport. Just sent it to the painter to get blister fix, barrier coated and painted. Still have a lot to do.

Remind us later and we will send pics.

Tillotson OM-31 Carb for Chrysler 80HP Inboard

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi,

It seems I have a one of a kind boat and engine. The boat is a Herreshoff Harbor Pilot 18', manufactured in 1974, and it is powered by a Chrysler 80HP inboard direct shaft. This engine was originally used on SIMCA's.

I would like a carb rebuild kit for the carbs (there are 2 of them), the model number is OM-31A and OM-32A, made by Tillotson in Toledo, Ohio.

Could you help me on finding parts/kits for those carbs?

Thanks,

Andre.

New guy here.

I'm looking for one of those Herreshoff Harbor Pilot design boats.

It's 18 ft long, has an inboard, a small pilot house forward and a

huge catboard style outboard rudder.

They were made by Nauset Marine and Squadron Yachts.

I have a 1957 Lone Star Cruise Master to trade or as a down

payment.
