I lived aboard Rugosa in Lucaya from March to May 1973. Had delivered a Dickerson 35 for owners and connected with Rugosa for ride back to US. Owner was Jay (sorry, don't remember last name, maybe the logs survived and can tell more). He had a boat with no crew and I had a bag of food. He said he had bought her in Detroit in 1968, sailed to west coast US and was returning to sell her in Florida. I remember the gimballed saloon table, 2-man hoisting the main on wire reel winch, the speed and power. We had one of the sweetest rides crossing the Stream to Florida, we were in Los Olas Bight for a few weeks and boat sold for reported 25k

. This seems to fit the 'In 1974 I became a 1/4 owner in Rugosa' discussion. I returned to Canada shortly after that, lost track of Jay, and spent 22 years in marine industry. I've sailed plenty of boats from 15' to 96' and can truthfully say they don't build them like they used to.
